The Mill enjoys a beautiful westerly view along the secluded Corries glen towards Carn Diamh. It is ideal for larger groups staying in the Cairngorms. There is ample room for larger parties to eat and relax together when more than one holiday cottage is booked.
Visitors are welcome to bring one or two well-behaved dogs by prior arrangement per cottage holiday. Dogs should be kept under strict control for the comfort of other guests. Our holiday cottages are in the midst of open farmland and sheep and cattle graze the adjoining pasture. There are a number of way-marked tracks nearby which are good for dog walking.
Cot, highchair and an extra bed are also available on request at no extra charge.

Built in the early 18th century as a Winnowing Barn, The Mill House is constructed of local stone and was originally thatched.
By the latter half of the 19th century mechanisation had come as far as the Cairngorms and the Winnowing Barn was upgraded. A thrashing mill was installed in the northern end of the building, powered by a water wheel fed from a pond behind it. The mill was only ever run for a few hours at a time to handle crops from the adjacent land. The machinery separated straw and chaff from the grain which was then sent away for grinding. The flour or meal was then returned to the farm to be stored in a stone kist, for use by the family throughout the year.
